On a night that most would consider warm through family interactions and gift giving, I experienced one of the worst hardships that anyone could endure. On December 24th, 2020, my family and I lost all we owned to an electrical short tearing down our home and hard work through the flames. Thus, leaving behind only ashes. Ashes, that are now broken memories. I am obligated to recreate those memories as flares that ignite the drive to my success as I overcome this hardship. Having lost all of my art compositions, I have learned that hardships come even with higher rewards. In this column I shed light to the ashes of my work, as I rebuild my home, memories, and art compositions.
