heard they’re all over your
place. don’t like.
you tried bleaching them?
spraying one of those cans?
bet you’re sick and tired of them.
here, a roach scurried across the floor
the other day. i stomped it.
you tried stomping them?
just not sure if you’re cut out for the big
city. roaches all over the place. you know.
you tried baiting them?
setting one of those traps?
bet it’s dirty over there. bet your
feet stick to the ground. bet the roaches
scurry out from every crevice.
bet they pour out of the cereal boxes
like piles of writhing corn flakes.
bet you wish you hadn’t left.
you clean under the sink?
you clean even in the corners?
worked once for me.
