Angélica Vences was classically trained in Barcelona, Spain at the Barcelona Academy of art and schooled at the University of Houston. She has been blessed to have many great teachers in my life. Her first teacher taught me classical figurative art techniques when She was 14. She has been enamored with the style ever since.  She grew up the daughter of an immigrant father and Mexican mother in Chicago and Houston. Her exposure to latine cultures is reflected in her art.
